Dog Training Skills Courses
This comprehensive introduction to Dog Training is a fun and flexible course where participants train other people's dogs in all the key life skills dogs need:
The course also covers canine learning theory and we only teach positive, reward based techniques with no use of fear or coercion. Trainees will be taught how to use Clicker Training, how to play with a dog effectively and also to extend their canine communication training from the Care & Welfare Course, by learning how to read canine body language during the training process, to ensure that the dog remains happy and calm throughout training and learns effectively
This course is a prerequisite for people wanting to do the Dog Walking & Day Carer courses.
Trainees' coursework is assessed through a variety of methods including photographic and video assessment. There is no requirement for trainees to sit exams or tests or even do any writing at all if they choose not to.
This course is currently available over six learning levels, Entry 1,2 and 3, Level 1, 2 and 3.
